ABOUT CNS

Cattlemen’s Nutrition Services offers nutrition consulting to feed yards all over the Midwest.  We have four nutritionists that have all worked in the industry for many years with all different types of feed yards.  They work with reps from all over the country to stay informed with the newest technology to make sure we are utilizing the best techniques to reach maximum productivity and profit.  We have monitored and reported on many research trials in our yards to test and compare products for the benefit of our clients.

MEET THE TEAM

Robert Cooper, Ph.D.

Robert graduated in 2000 from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a Masters and Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition.  He worked with Sweet Bran during their start up in Dalhart, TX and returned to Nebraska in 2003 to work with CNS.  Robert has lived around the Lincoln area since his return to Nebraska. He and his wife, Jodi, have 2 children.

D.J. Jordon, Ph.D.

D.J. graduated in 2000 as well from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a degree in Ruminant Nutrition.  DJ started out in western Nebraska at ADM.  He moved back to the Lincoln area and did private consulting before starting with CNS in 2004.  DJ and his wife, Britt, have three children.

Tony L. Scott, Ph.D.

Tony graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a degree in Ruminant Nutrition in 2000.  Tony started out as a Professor at Cameron University in his home state of Oklahoma.  Tony joined the CNS team in 2008.  He works with clients in Texas and Oklahoma as well as the Midwest.  Tony and his wife, Nichole, have 3 children. 

Sheri bierman-Bundy, Ph.D.

Sheri joined CNS in 2017. She has been consulting since 2001 after completing her Ph.D. at South Dakota State.  Sheri and her husband, Glenn, live in Minnesota and have 2 children.

All of our nutritionists worked under Dr. Terry Klopfenstein at the University of Nebraska.  They learned how to make a feed yard work, as well as how to manage the different aspects of feeding to meet the goals of the yard. We apply those same principles to our nutrition today.

Jodi Cooper

Jodi has been at the company off and on since 2005.  She manages the billing and financials, communication between the nutritionists, as well as office manager duties.

Deb Holmberg

Deb joined CNS in 2015.  She works in the afternoons to make sure all the details are on track.  Duties include assisting with supplements and scheduling.

Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth returned to CNS in 2022.  She will be available for scheduling feedlot visits and assisting in day to day operations.

Donitte Stiles

Donitte has been with us for the duration.  She has worked with CNS since 1989.  In 2022, Donitte retired to enjoy more time with her family.
